World's leading provider of IT business solutions and communication services to the air transport industry is looking to bring on a Sr. Software Engineer with C++ development experience in a Unix/Linux environment.
The Software Engineer will provide Technical Design, Development and System Support for custom messaging systems including: WEB, back-end servers and Database applications on Unix/Linux.
Knowledge and skills
Shell Script programming in UNIX environment is a must.
Understanding of web servers (apache, tomcat) is a plus.
Good understanding of Database concepts (Oracle 10g) is a must.
Some telephony experience helpful.
Good writing and oral communications skills is required.
Strong organization and good interpersonal and team working skills is required.
Must be a fast learner and willing to take training courses.
Must be able to work in a team environment.
Must be able to finish tasks with minimum supervision.
Minimal travel may be required.
Will require 24 hours on call duties and carrying pagers, cell phone or like devices.
