We have been asked by Austin Energy to propose two consultants for a year-long project here in Austin. The chosen team will be PHASE 1 – code reviewing current applications (around 10-20) custom apps written in Cold Fusion and determine/recommend steps to rewrite and/or migrate into Java applications. PHASE 2 (next year) will be the actually development of the agreed recommendations/plan of action. The two chosen candidates will need to have the following:
- Recent development experience in Java, Eclipse, SVN, Hibernate, and Struts w/backend SQL – Previous experience should clearly demonstrate expert level qualifications with these technologies.
- Ability to code review ColdFusion applications, document logic, and design plan of migration to Java
